Farah Shaikh

Farha has been proudly serving GEMS as a Chemistry teacher since the year 1999 and is currently the Supervisor Grade IX. Before moving to Dubai she spent eight years teaching Chemistry in high school in Mumbai, India. Her passion and strength lie in character building, promoting students' personal and social development and fostering positive attitudes in students which she believes leads to academic excellence. Also a mentor to her students she always believed in giving time, right values and resources that help students to succeed.

She champions parent engagement in her capacity as the Secretary of Parent Advisory Committee for the past 10 years.

She holds a Master's degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor's degree in education from Mumbai university. She ensures active collaboration among teachers and supports them through professional development as she feels that teachers' pedagogical skills need to be upscaled if they wish to groom 21st century learners.
